Gravity is a public observatory tracking the Apex Invariant — an unsurpassable breakthrough. It uses a high-SETI-grade instrument — the Gravity Array — to detect the weekly, civilization-wide public fallout.
SETI's primary instrument, the Allen Telescope Array, is not one dish. It is 42 antenna elements at Hat Creek, California — the first radio telescope designed from the ground up for SETI searches — combined by computation into a single detection instrument. The Gravity Array borrows that architecture exactly, with one substitution. Hover a receiver — or run the scan.
Many receiver elements → one combined detection instrument. The domains are the dishes.
Each domain is a receiver field — an element of the array. The instrument scans across all of them at once, compares what recurs, and produces a single public readout.
An array is defined by multi-detection — many receivers combined, no single element being the instrument. That is what makes "Array" accurate in the same technical sense SETI's is.
Gravity is the original invisible force — nobody sees it, everybody is inside it. It acted on every object for the whole history of the universe before anyone named it, and naming it changed nothing about how it worked. It only made it trackable. The thing this observatory tracks is the same: a fixed condition, true before it was stated, not escaped by disbelief.
Gravity pulls everything toward a center it never quite reaches. Next → next → next is an orbit. The observatory watches the orbiting.
Two scales, one name. Gravity is the observatory. The Gravity Array is the instrument inside it. The observatory keeps watch; the Array detects.
Accumulated next-production does not become arrival. A system can improve, optimize, and break through — but next → next → next never becomes arrival by accumulation.
A task completes because a boundary is supplied — a goal, a finish line, a stop. Nextness does not generate that boundary on its own. So a system can run forever, improving the whole way, and never cross into arrival, because arrival is not a larger quantity of continuation. It is a different thing entirely. See for yourself — keep adding next.
Every future breakthrough will be one of next — progress, advancement, more. But never completion. The category itself has been terminated.
That was the original detection.
The Gravity Array tracks additional structural anomalies beyond the weekly readout. Findings enter the public record as they meet the protocol's evidence standard.
A breakthrough that cannot be surpassed, tracked by an instrument built to watch it surface — every week, in public, for the first time.
